As the town of Musselburgh grew over the years and with Mr McLeish priding himself on keeping up to date with equipment and advances in technology the Practice has grown and become one of the longest serving Opticians in the local community. He carries out fully comprehensive eye examinations including testing for Glaucoma, Diabetes, Colour Vision, Contact Lenses, Industrial and Visual Fields where required - approved by the DVLA.
Mr McLeish installed a Digital Retinal Camera in the Practice a few years ago and at that time was the only Optician in East Lothian to offer this service.

SMART MIRROR
We also have in our Practice a smart mirror as shown in the picture. This is easy to use touch screen technology which helps patients see how they will look in the frames that they have chosen. It also gives demonstration on lenses with and without anti reflection coatings and can also show the thickness of your lenses. The smart mirror enables you to see what your eyes would be like if they were a different colour by programming it with different coloured contact lenses to your picture on screen.

PATIENT LOYALTY SCHEME
We have introduced a Patient Loyalty Scheme for Present and new patients at the Practice.
For every New Patient that you recommend to the Practice-Family, Friends or Acquaintances, you will get £10 per recommendation off your next Spectacles, Contact Lenses, Swimming Goggles, Prescription Sunglasses, Sport Specs or Supplements.
How the System Operates:
When a New Patient comes in for their appointment and states that they were recommended by you, your record card will be appropriately marked, so that when you attend for your next appointment, we will know how many New Patients you have recommended since your last visit and this figure will be multiplied by 10 to get your reward.
A New Patient will be classed as someone who has never been to the Practice or who has not been back to the Practice in the Last Four Years.
